Glendale, Arizona – The first Crystal Lagoons Island Resort® broke ground back in June of this year, bringing the promise of a branded entertainment destination that will feature a mix of boutique shops, themed restaurants, attractions, hospitality and live entertainment to be located near State Farm Stadium (Cardinal Stadium) and The Westgate shopping venue. The location will have an eleven-acre lagoon with white sandy beaches, swimming, kayaks, paddle boards and personal watercraft rentals.

The most notable addition to this project is a first-of-its-kind Mattel Adventure Park™ will feature branded experiences such as a Hot Wheels® roller coaster and multiple go-karting experiences, a Thomas & Friends™ indoor theme park with the first life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine electric-battery powered passenger train, immersive branded dining, experiential retail, and more.

Both The Crystal Lagoons Island Resort and the Mattel Adventure Park are slated to open late 2022, just before the Superbowl.
